The Naval Fleet

Ok... It is my pleasure to showcase my fleet of naval vessels to you guys.. esp those that are into miniature modeling.... Well its not that fantastic in numbers as my collection is rather small at this time as I do not have enough space in my room to erect a harbour for more ships....


Here they are in 350 Scale... Starting from the left with a displacement of 65 000 tons... the IJN Yamato... Followed by the 35 000 tons Richelieu of the French Navy.... Next is the German Tirpitz at 43 000 tons displacement....Then the USS Alabama, IJN Kongo, Royal Navy's King George V..... The USS Arleigh Burke stands next but may seem a little wierd in this collection as she is a modern vessel...Then followed by the famous USS DDG 445 Fletcher

Most of the ships in the arsenal are WWII.. aecept maybe for the USS Arleigh Burke and the upcoming USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier to be launched quite soon...

Well... basically as you can see...Some of the ships like the Yamato were not completely painted as she was built like almost 2 yrs back. The rest I can say... are quite recent..

Here's a sneak preview of my next ship to be launched...

Behold the USS Enterprise.... aka .. The Big E.... Well... its not really completed yet as I have not completed painting and decaling the ship (even tho it seems quite complete liao)....
She is the biggest and heaviest model that I have constructed... and she took me almost 4 weeks to assemble and paint to where she is right now... Phew.... The Big E project.


Well the goods news is... she will be ready to be launched and commissioned by Chinese New Year!!! An auspicious time to launch a carrier!!.. And from there she will sail with the rest of the fleet.. in my room that is... lol..

After her... I will have 2 more ships to be built... i.e the USS New Jersey (Modern) and USS Missouri (WWII)... This will bring my total collection to ... 11 ships... hmmm.. not bad...

I am still looking at other brands... contemplating to built another Russian carrier... The Admiral Kuznetsov... see below... she is also another big one... here's the real pic....

Hmmm.. but should I go ahead with this next "big" project.. Bcoz I am quite sure I will get hell from my parents bcoz they are already quite unhappy with me building so many ships.. plus no space liao.. How sia?? To carry on or defer this purchase.. not cheap somemore... 200 plus... plus all the paint and cement??....

Anyway... I will complete the other 2 ships first before deciding....

Ok I am going to meet a fren at Changi V to LKP liao..
