OK.. for those of you who are thinking about why I put this photo as my msn or facebook logo... very simple... Its bcoz i like his pose and also how majestically he is being dressed up which I believe was for his Coronation as King of England.
This is George III of England. I really like the way he poses for his "paint shot"... I believe those days... no cameras were invented yet... So no such thing as photo shoot... haha... But his pose is graceful and majestic.. even though he seems to be wearing berms.. but i guess thats the style during those days in England.
His reign was from 1760 to 1820... that is 60 years as King of England. Its not easy to reign as king for 60 yrs i believe... The British Monarchy has indeed come a long long way. Those days its either u get depose for political reasons, executed for some reasons like Charles I or maybe die of illness.... Able to rule England for 60 yrs as King is worth a great compliment and respect from the people.
Well, the funny thing is.... George III was famous for 2 things during his reign
1) Loosing the American Revolutionary War leading to the establishment of United States of America
2) Going crazy during his old age..
Ok for Singaporeans... if you wish to add.... you can also say that Singapore was founded during his reign by Sir Stamford Raffles... haha...
However, i would like to share one video with you guys..

This piece is written by William Boyce for the coronation and wedding of George III. Its very grand and personally i hope to use it as my wedding song for the bride to walk in... Instead of always hearing the common wedding march or Pachabel Canon... I think this piece by William Boyce will make a splendid exception for a wedding.... since its originally written for the wedding for a King.
You can only use the tune from 00:00 to 03:50.... bcoz its the most suitable part for the bride to walk in all the way till the front... but its gonna be a slow and lengthy walk... haha.. imagine almost 4 mins... For those of your who share the same sentiment as me.. i believe you will know why i think this piece will make a splendid wedding walk in for the bride... Lets do something different next time man....
