USS New Jersey

Finally, at 80% completed, the USS New Jersey stands proud at her dry dock awaiting for her final fitout .. Only the small minute details are left so this ship will almost be completed very very soon.

I have taken a few snap shots of this great ship measuring a humongous 77.2 cm. Its in fact the largest and longest battleship i have in my collection... let alone my aircraft carriers.. they are much longer and larger... but in this case.. lets just compare apple to apple... I will be spending my next few days in the evening to do up this ship to its final completion. In fact I had been building this model at a very very slow pace.... the painting of the deck was quite tedious using alot of masking tape... In fact.. this ship is one of my most favourite battleships in WWII history. The length, the armament, the bridge layout design has made this ship a true beauty and legend of her time... She was designed together with 3 other sister ships as the Iowa Class battleships measuring a hefty 45,000 ton in displacement. Her firepower from her 9 16inch guns is more than enough to pound any ships or targets into extinction.....

Here a real life pic.... She is really a true beauty.... However she has been converted to a battleship museum liao... So her legend lives on today... almost half a century after she was born...

Ok... I gtg sleep liao... Goodnite and Ciao
